Which of these two storms caused a school closure?
#1
#2
If you guessed #1, you are WRONG! That is correct. When we lived in Utah we could receive 4 feet of snow and the schools would not close. Today in SC we received about 1/2 an inch of snow and all of the schools were closed as well as many businesses. I know, everyone tells me that they just are not prepared here in the south for snow. It was just a skiff, not even an inch, not even enough for the plows to be needed if we had plows. Cracks me up. We took advantage of the one more day off and had a good time. Here are some photos for your enjoyment. I will through in a couple of photos from Utah just for fun.
These are not stars; they are snowflakes. I took this photo around 2:00 am just when it started to snow.
This is what I woke up to at 5:30 am. Charlie received notification that school was closed.
This is on our retaining wall. You can see that it is not quite an inch.

Mitchell was so excited that he woke up around 6:00 am.
Soon Mitchell was outside with his friends playing in the snow.
Our patio in Utah!
Our patio in SC.
Vinny went out for about 5 minutes then decided that it was too cold. She warmed up playing some Wii.
This photo was taken at 10:30 am. Patrick finally rolled out of bed at around 11:30.
By the time Patrick woke up, most of the snow was melted. We are hoping that there is a delay tomorrow due to ice on the roads. Last year when we had a snow day the next day we had a two hour start delay. Oh wait, ice on the roads would not be good! Charlie is leaving town tomorrow for Salt Lake at 6:30 and Patrick is taking him to the airport at 5:00am. I would prefer not to have Patrick driving in the early morning ice.
I hope you are all having great weather were you are! Thanks for stopping by.
