This is Andrew. Andrew is a Sophomore and one of my favorite young men in the whole world!

At the end of the banquet, we all went outside and the kids got in a circle around the seniors and sang a song. The seniors had balloons and then they let them go. It was really special.

Nick, Mitchell and Tanner. Yes, they are holding paper plates. Each class gives out Paper Plate Awards. Nick and Tanner won best dressed for their respective classes. I think Mitchell should have won.

Today is the last day of school! I am so excited to have Vinny and Mitchell home!

Shout out to my daughter Vinny who auditioned and was selected for the Freshmen Campus Honors Orchestra! We are so proud of her.

JV MID FIELDER OF THE YEAR

We had planned on holding the Girls Varsity and JV Lacrosse Banquet at our house in the backyard. At 12:30 that day, it was raining and the weatherman said there was a 70% chance of thunderstorms. So, the coach decided to go ahead and reschedule for the next night and to play it safe, have it in the High School cafeteria. Well, by 4:00 pm, the sun came out and stayed out. Oh well. The banquet turned out very nice.

MISS EMMA!

Remember last year when I blogged about Vinny's amazing Orchestra teacher was moving to England? Well, she was back a few weeks ago and Vinny and I had the chance to see her. Her adorable daughter just turned one last week and it was so fun to see her.

MR. GENEROUS

Now that Patrick is making some money, he decided to treat his brother and sister to a gift. 

First, he surprised Mitchell with new speakers for his truck!

For Vinny, he gave her $80 which is all she needed to buy something she has been saving for for 2 years....

She and Mitchell are both very happy and lucky to have such a great big brother.

LICENSE TO DRIVE

On April 16, Mitchell passed his restricted driver's test. That means he can drive with no more than three teens in the car and not when it is dark. In a year, he will get his full license. As soon as he and Vinny got home from school, they were off! I think Vinny was almost as excited as Mitchell.

TEAM PHOTOS

On a windy day in April, the Dorman Girls JV Lacrosse team finally had their photos taken. The season was over so this was a little late.

It took a while to get the girls situated. The wind was not helping the girls keep their hair in place.

I took a photo of the three 8th graders. They will be the first young ladies to play for 5 years if they all stick with it.

The boys varsity lax team's last game before going to state was against our cross town rivals Spartan High. By winning, our boys became the Upper State Champions.

A couple of days later, we went to Dorman to see a couple of friends sign their letters of intent to play Lacrosse in college.

Vinny and Lexie. Lexie plays center on varsity and is 5'11 1/2''. She has been a mentor to Vinny. She will be playing at Newbury College in the fall.

Mitchell with Ethan. Ethan is one of the leading scorers in the nation! He has been such an amazing mentor and friend to Mitchell. In fact, everyone calls Mitchell Jr. as in Ethan Jr. That is why he named his new truck Jr. Ethan will be playing at Catawba College in the fall.

VINNY'S FINAL GAME

After an hour delay due to lightening, Vinny and her team went on to beat Greenville! Vinny had two goals. She scored the first goal of the season and the last goal of the season. So proud of her! I cannot wait to see her play this summer with the Carolina Cannons!
