DIFFERENT PHOTO SHOOT MEANS MORE OUT TAKES

Yesterday I showed off the frames I made for the Italian cousins. Today, I am going to share the out takes from the photo shoot. The kids were being their silly selves and it took a while to get a good shot worthy of making the trip across the ocean to Italy.

Not bad. Mitchell looks like he smelled something stinky.

This was my favorite but I was out voted.

Let the goofiness begin.

I could sense here that Vinny was about to get the giggles.

PHOTO SHOOT OUT TAKES

All I can say is thank goodness for digital cameras. While trying to get a good shot for this years Holiday cards, I probably took around 50 pictures. Most of you should have received the card and newsletter in the mail so I can now share the ones that did not make the cut.

We thought it would be fun to do a Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band remake.

The class clown. Then we thought we might give the trampoline a go.

Not quite. Next up, the diving board.

This was actually the runner up.

Different tree. Then I thought it would be fun for them to jump.

My athlete could not get a good jump.

The jumping moved to the back patio.

Can you imagine if I did not have a digital camera and had to develop all of these? There are many more that I did not even share. I will post the winning photo later. 

Today is the last day of school for the kids!!! Cannot wait to have them home for a couple of weeks. Have a great weekend!

HAVE AN "ICE" NIGHT!

Hey there! It's Patrick, Shaun's oldest son. Mom is unable to type due to the surgery she had on her hand. I'm here today to share some pictures she and I took a week ago when everything in sight was covered in ice. And I mean everything.

PHOTO EDITING: FRAME UPS AND SPECIAL EFFECTS

I took a fun online course this summer from Jessica Sprague called Photo Editing: Frame Ups and Special Effects. Since our weekend was pretty boring I thought I would share some of my projects from the course.  I completed the projects using Photoshop Elements 7.

These are just a few of the concepts that I learned during the class. It is so fun to play around with photos. The cool thing about Jessica's classes is that she keeps your class videos and information online indefinitely. So, if I forget how to do something, I can go back to the video and review it.
