THE RECITAL

Patrick has been taking private voice lessons through Converse College this fall. On Monday, his teacher held a winter recital. Fortunatley, Charlie's sister Christie and her husband Joel were here to join us. Here are a couple of photos from the event and the video of Patrick's performance. The song is in Italian so don't bother trying to figure out what he is singing.

REQUIEM

I had really hoped to have a better video for you. Unfortunately, this is the best one of the 16 that Charlie took. In fact, it is only 1 out of four that actually turned out at all. Patrick can be seen laughing a little and shaking his head. That is because the choir started singing later than they should have so they were not with the symphony. They were recording this concert so at the end they had to sing this song and one other again for the recording. I hope you enjoy it.

Mitchell has always wanted to learn how to play the drums. He is constantly playing with drum sticks on either the furniture, the floor or his legs. When we were in New Orleans and he had the opportunity to play on a real set of drums, we realized that the kid actually has potential. So, Charlie started to check Craig's List and finally found a great set at an incredible price. Here they are setting them up...

Not bad if I do say so myself. Now I just need to find myself some good ear plugs.
