First order of business today; I would like to wish Debbie a HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Debbie is married to my oldest brother Pat and if it were not for Debbie, I would not be the person I am today. I mean that in a good way. Debbie has always been there for me when I needed her and in after my mother died she was the one I turned to for those issues that come up when you are 16. She is an amazing mother, a fabulous wife and I am proud to call her my friend. This photo was taken on Christmas 2007. She was trying out her granddaughter's new drums.
Here she is with my brother in Mexico where they spent a few weeks in January.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEBBIE!!!!!
As many of you know last night was the Super Bowl. I am NOT a big fan of football as I have mentioned many times and yet I do enjoy the Super Bowl. I was really hoping for the Cardinals to win. Since I went to High School in Phoenix and the team has a couple of players from the University of Utah I was cheering for them all night. It was a great game unlike many in the past even though it did not end the way I had wanted it to.
We had our own little party with our only guest being Mitchell's best friend Skyler. I had planned on making Cheese Quesadillas for everyone but after shopping all day with Vinny (post on Wednesday) I was wiped out. So, we dined on the following items...
We had chips, M&M's Oreos, Tortilla Chips, Salsa, Cheese Dip, Funions and Cashews. We topped it all off with Dr. Pepper and Rootbeer. By 9:00 this is how the kids were feeling...
Now, Mitchell and Skyler are only pretending to be out cold. This morning when the kids woke up it was for real. Mitchell and Vinny could not eat breakfast and they were both tired from staying up so late. Tonight will be an early to bed for them. Patrick was just fine. He is used to eating junk and not getting enough sleep. Charlie and I both feel fine since we did not eat quite as much as the kids.
If you are a Steelers' fan, congratulations! If you are a Cardinals' fan, I feel your pain.
I hope you all have a groovy week!
